He deserves congratulations. I once heard that of all the golfers in the world less than 1% will ever break 100. Thus was from a reliable source but I cannot remember exactly who came up with the stat.

One word about his attire. Ouch!

I don’t understand why any number over 18 should be something to brag about. After all if there are 18 holes and any extra shots mean you missed.

Before someone disses his attire, I would point out that at least it has some style and coordination which is a lot nicer than a lot of the muscle tees, cargo shorts and baseball caps I see on the courses these days. — the old curmudgeon

I remember the days when I used to golf. I would tell people I was in the low-to-mid 60s. Wow they would exclaim. And then I would explain no, that is for nine holes. Then they would laugh of course.
