“Is there a leak?” “No, that’s just Heart being “Confident”.

This from the girl who begged to be on stage in the previous iteration? The same girl who wanted to be a celebrity?

Ouch. Stage fright is a tough phobia to deal with just like public speaking. Hope Heart pulls it together with so e help from her friends.

The number one phobia is public speaking. Number two is death. So at a funeral, more people would rather be the guest of honor than the eulogiser.

My late bride and I met doing theater. We used to sweat it out in the wings every night. We were certain that if we weren’t sweating we might actually break a leg. We had a dear friend who said that every time he stood there waiting for his cue, he felt he needed to go to the toilet. (⊙_⊙;)

As a guy who did lots of high school plays it is just abut time for the throwing up. Everybody does it.

Potentially offensive story about sweating in the theater, told to me by Dennis, my director for Much Ado About Nothing, who was also the technical director for our Civic Center: When Cats toured here, the performers were all miked, but with all that dancing their sweat would short out the mikes unless said mikes were protected by rubber sleeves that were just the right size to cover them – namely condoms. The dancing would rub the rubbers to the point that they needed replacing about every time a performer left the stage so the crew would swiftly remove the old condom, throw it on the floor, slip on the new one, and back out the performer would go.

It was so late after the final curtain that Dennis decided to wait until morning to sweep up these dozens if not hundreds of condoms. The CC managing director hadn’t told him he was giving the City Council a tour that next morning …
