I have spent all day in town since 9:30 this morning. Lots of stops, Costco, Trader Joe’s, the Grocery Store, Liquor Store and gas station. I also stopped to buy LilG some flowers, but the flower shop I support had a very skimpy selection today, so I didn’t buy any.
I just created a very tasty sandwich. I took pagnatta bread and smeared it with a hummus that I made with extra lemon and herbs. I fried an egg and some Virginia ham. To that I added sauteed onions and raw, baby spinach. Superb! And as a side…pickled herring. If my wife knew she’d simply roll her eyes.
Dry, yes to everything but the hummus, I polished that off. Just got back from a walk. It is so interesting how I (who feeds the birds) get such a different variety of birds than down the road less than half an mile. I heard bird songs I just don’t hear at my place.
I’ve got hummus, not homemade, though. Maybe you should add some different types of feed to attract those song birds that don’t come to your place. Of course, birds can be territorial too.
My hyacinths and daffodils seem to have sprung up overnight. I went out after work and cleared the leaves from my asparagus beds.
Oh, they didn’t find the guy who rammed our wall and yard, and our neighbor’s yard, at least according to the paper. But, then … …LOL!
Turns out there was another accident around the same time, further into the main area, and when our neighbor called for the case number, he was given that number, wrong guy, wrong place. So, we’ll probably never find him. As banged up as his truck must have been, if he has a brain, he won’t be driving it until it’s fixed.
It was over 70 here too. Of course, I didn’t know it and was way over dressed. People were in shorts, and I was wearing a winter coat! It was very windy though and yesterday we had a thunderstorm.
It’s called Spring in Canada. I’m waiting for the snowstorm.
Phpbb! You girls and your 70 degree weather. We aren’t getting out of the low 50s. I can’t bleeep though, it was partly cloudy and pleasant.
Shika, we had rockfish in a panko crust with a sauce of parsley, homemade mayo, dijon, lemon, pepper and horseradish. We had fried potatoes and a salad with it and fo dessert I baked some of the cookie dough from last night.
