They don’t have your cold nose for a hot story.

Take a close look, Snoopy. There are 100 red flags around your doghouse.

It was a dark and stormy night. Suddenly, no editor showed up.

You just typed them yesterday, have a little patience, Snoopy!

I’ve tried writing to my favorite authors. It was terrible.

Do you have their addresses in your Rolodex?

Maybe they are shorthanded due to COVID-19?

Local radio personality wrote a book about his father. Didn’t sell very well and he wound up with the remainders. Daily he would detail the process of getting a book published and what happens when it doesn’t sell.

Don’t hold your breath, Snoopy!

They’re scared of WWII.

Mail was faster back then, Snoopy, but not that fast.

I work for a publisher and sadly, some of the correspondence we get actually isn’t far off from what Snoopy is saying to them in his letter…smh….

No Snoopy, and if they ever do respond, you won’t be feeling so good either.

On one paw he certainly has a big ego. On another paw, he seems a compassionate Beagle.

Snoopy should self publish, but that takes money and the round headed kid doesn’t have any. Maybe he should try Gofundme.

I’m rich and famous. It’s not all that great.

Blame it on the novel coronavirus, Snoopy!

I see my hopes yesterday were for nought.

Yes, I spelled nought right. Was unsure if it was nought or naught so I looked it and found out it’s both. And also nowt (won’t be using that, just looks wrong). Now if I can find out which spelling is which.

Lately everyone seems to ask “How am I feeling today?”

Tempted to get sarcastic, but a stranger would likely not get it.

A follow-up to this past Sunday’s episode.

I remember getting my first patent – I thought I was going to be rich because everyone would realize how brilliant my invention was. I ended up learning that LOTS of people have brilliant ideas … and I’m still a working stiff. :-)

I can relate, Snoopy, as someone who’s written for fun for years. The process can be long, but it’s often fulfilling. Hang in there, buddy.
