I used to get those floaters too. They appear like an ant crawling across the page, then as they begin to shrink they appear more like a fruit-fly. I had them removed by laser treatment but the timing has to be correct.
Unfortunately I have always had them but in the last 2 years I had a tear in 1 retina and had to have it “sealed” and the floaters are even worse now in that eye. Then the next year the other eye started “adding” more floaters and when I went to see the Doctor he looked into my eyes and said boy you got a lot of “junk” in there. LOL (not funny)
i had floaters in both eyes that can be so irritating so after i had cataract surgery in both of my eyes i then had the floaters zapped…what a difference.

It’s even less funny when the doctor looks like he couldn’t have possibly graduated from high school.

Yup, floaters. Had them for at least a decade, and I’m now 65.

Floaters are not cataracts. If one pops up in your vision you need to see an eye doctor.

Actually, I have eye floaters in my right eye for over 40 years. Not cataract related. When the Dr looks at them, they say they look like asteroids.
