IMHO, children who are adverse to getting dirty are not outside enough. Grant you, I grew up in the country. We swam in the river or at the pond, (w/the farmer’s O.K.), went fishing (digging up our own nightcrawlers or whatever bait), hunted (w/o) killing) frogs, toad, lizards, snakes, turtles, etc. Getting dirty (w/in) normalcy) is an excellent immune booster!

Reminds me of my youth, but in reverse, I used to let worms crawl through my fingers, catch bugs to feed to spiders…etc. now….awwww….ew!

Now as an (old) adult, all it takes to not be picky about things you touch……we had 4 kids. 4 kids times 8031 diapers……….
