I used to stare at my older brother, bugged eyed. Years later he said it used to give him nightmares about a monster he called the Tin Can Monster. Don’t know what that is but it may have something to do with the cans I had tied to a string and would jangle them as he was falling asleep (not really, but I wish I was devious enough to do that). I still did the bug eyes every once in a while because it would freak him out.
Tip O’ The Hat today to all you parents who had to endure your children doing this exact thing, whether in the house, in the car, in other people’s houses, at the pool… “He’s looking at me.” Sigh.
