    Who cares what it looks like, it is how good it is that counts.Kudos fro cutting out the stars. So the crust got a bit brown, just peal it off and eat the pie. Put some Ice cream on it for good measure.

    If you give up on the fine points of cosmetics pies aren’t that hard. It takes some trial and error. A crust recipe that works well in a food processor helps.

    In the days before refrigeration pie was a method to preserve fruit. Not as long as canning, but for a day or two at least.
