Only took almost four years to figure out the world hasn’t made sense since 2016?

    Everything you know is wrong

Black is white, up is down and short is long

And everything you thought was just so important doesn’t matter

    Everything you know is wrong

Just forget the words and sing along

All you need to understand is

    Everything you know is wrong

    Treason didn’t do it.

    Not the massive corruption.

Removing constraints on Iran’s WMDs? Nope.

Separating toddlers from their families and locking them in cages? Ha Ha, they’re brown ferchrissakes.

Sabotaging efforts to combat the virus? Uh, the economy! And it’s mostly more brown people anyway.

Dominating the battleground (American streets) using the military against American citizens? Looting! Looting!

140,000 Covid deaths — “I don’t take responsibility for ANY of it!”

Continued shortages of PPEs and tests. — “Anyone who wants a test can get a test.”

Sabotage of others’ efforts to combat the virus — “LIBERATE MICHIGAN etc.”

Freeing Roger Stone from prison because he protected Trump.

    .

Nothing. Literally nothing will cause Trump Disciples to doubt their Messiah.

    Nothing.

    .

The cartoon is a couple weeks behind. I wonder if Scott will comment on Stone or the Fauci trashing.

And I’m still pi$$ed about the execrable, Trump-appointed, scumbag Ajit Pai – current destructor of the FCC – who sold off “Net Neutrality” to AT&T Internet Services; Sparklight; CenturyLink; Charter Communications (including Bright House Networks and Spectrum formerly Time Warner Cable); Comcast High Speed Internet (also known as Xfinity); Consolidated Communications (including FairPoint Communications and SureWest); Cox Communications , et bloody cetera – to the highest bidder!!! No Quid pro quo there, I can tell you.

Now that the Republicans have brought back capital punishment – keep Ajit Pai in mind.

Hm. This is actually a realization that I came to about a decade ago, Carmen, but better late than never, I guess.

Never has a U.S. election come at such a moment of national mortification.

In April 1970, President Richard M. Nixon told a national television audience that futility in Vietnam would make the United States appear to the world as “a pitiful, helpless giant.”

Half a century later, America, for the first time in its history, is pitied.

Under the most frivolous person ever to hold any great nation’s highest office, this nation is in a downward spiral.

This spiral has not reached its nadir, but at least it has reached a point where worse is helpful, and worse can be confidently expected.

The nation’s floundering government is now administered by a gangster regime.

It is helpful to have this made obvious as voters contemplate renewing the regime’s lease on the executive branch.

Roger Stone adopted the argot of B-grade mobster movies when he said he would not “roll on” Donald Trump.

By commuting Stone’s sentence, Stone’s beneficiary played his part in this down-market drama, showing gratitude for Stone’s version of omertà (the Mafia code of silence), which involved lots of speaking but much lying.

I call him a bot, he’s probably not. He just is as empty as one.

Really Carmen? This is pretty dated now.

That’s the state you arrive at when you believe in absolutes. Then reality kicks in.

As many in the South, my neck of the woods, think………………………weakly and with no discernible package of steadfast standards…………….Normally, “steadfast” should not be a valid descriptor for “standards,” which should stand on its own. But with right-wing populists………..there are no worthwhile rules, i.e. standards.

Well Tom…you got it right. Some people are just too dumb to know the difference between socialism and capitalism. It is our preferred way of life that is up for grabs. Most people are dumber than a box of rocks. They think this next election is about someone named Trump. I do not think so!!!
