During a camping trip once, a bear raided our campsite in the middle of the night. He ate the meats, but wouldn’t touch the health foods.

A much smaller island with a very small house was in Webster, Mass and called Skunk Island. My Dad and friends owned that cabin in the 1920s.

In 2015, the Library of Congress acquired (from what was in effect an estate sale) the most complete surviving copy of the Frankenstein. A couple of missing bits still existed on other fragments of copies and were added back into the LOC’s copy.

It was restored and preserved, one of the great recoveries of a film long thought lost forever

Looks like the monster is doing some kind of stand up routine.

Edison’s Frankenstein can be found on YouTube. There are various copies of it, with the longest running just under 14 minutes. The sequence where the monster is created is actually a quite clever use of special effects, especially considering it was made 110 years ago.

And Mr. Edison’s version was very enlightening.

    Take care and gesundheit.

Edison’s marketing strikes again! While the 1910 Frankenstein was filmed at Edison Studios, Thomas Edison himself didn’t do anything on the film.

With the rising of the oceans I suspect that island will disappear.

And with water levels rising, it will soon be a pontoon boat…
