It’s so hard wearing masks in the hot, Fourth of July weather. Even my own, pretty and colorful ones I made for myself and family, feel like they are smothering me! To protect others, I wear one. I see fewer people wearing them lately. Yes, fewer people.

I have to wonder: did Cathy buy her masks from that boutique saleswoman at the mall? And did she try on every one, over the course of a week, and complain that each one made her look fat? “Aack.”
