Did using foil in the microwave summon the UFO?
Back when I was in high school, a buddy microwaved his poptarts, inside the foil-lined paper pouch. The results were pretty spectacular. Blue arcs and yellow sparks, with a few flames, and a lot of smoke. Ruined the poptarts, too.
At work, once or twice, I would pop an AOL mailed in CD into the microwave to watch the sparkling wonder of the internet.
Nor taken refuge under a flaming appliance.
It was made worse by the fact that he also just ripped the tag off his mattress. :P
