They started to reopen everything around here … public parks (but not the rest rooms or drinking fountains) most non-essential stores, indoor dining, bars, wineries… even gyms…
Families were told they could form “pods” of several families with whom they could interact, as though quarantining together.
Gatherings of up to (I think) 10 were allowed.
Pretty much all without me because, no matter what they’ll allow me to do, I know I’m at high risk, so I refrain.
A few weeks later… wham!
Covid-19 cases doubled and more.
Virus deaths in our county rose from 4 between mid- March, and the June reopening… to 19 a few weeks later.
We just got shut down again.
Surprise!
Not.
Stories of weddings and birthday parties, even dinners with friends, have started to sound like fairy tales.
I’m still eating every meal at home, alone…
I’ve bought takeout twice in 4 months…. but I’ve been allowing myself to shop for groceries about once a week…
It helps with fresh produce… but maybe it’s as much for (6 ft apart) human contact as anything else.
people are more concerned by thinking that they afe having their rights taken away by being made to wear a mask than protecting their lives and those of loved ones, friends, and innocent victims they could infect by not wearing one which i don’t understand. i long for the day that those words….THE QUARANTINE IS OVER….are for real.

Tony’s QOTD: Have they let you out yet?
Yes, but if we don’t behave they’ll lock us up again. Think of it as being on parole. There are still rules to follow.
Frankly it’s too darn scary to go out!

There are so many idiots running around without masks. I’m afraid I’ll catch “stupid”.

Quarantine is only over for cartoon characters.
