Yes, I still write the strip. At least I think I do. I am starting on the Halloween adventure today, just finished the 80th anniversary adventure last night before the disappointing SMALLVILLE.
Woo-hoo, Mugg lives!I wonder if Koko, that silly stool pigeon of a parrot, is still somewhere at the police station, too?“Easiboys! More fresh air! WA-AK! Neki Hokey!”
Tracy’s old friend is a real dog….If you fly in from someplace like Brazil, you’ll be met at the airport by a cute little beagle from the department of agriculture, who’ll sniff you to make sure you’re not carrying any produce that might bring pests onto our farms..If you fly in from Amsterdam, you’ll be met at the baggage claim by a big German shepherd from the DEA, who’ll sniff to make sure you’re not carrying any produce of a different kind...According to experts in such matters, a dog’s nose is far, far more effective at locating drugs, explosives, etc., than any of the radiation-emitting technological devices currently in use at airports. So why aren’t we sniffed by dogs before boarding? Well, a Nude-O-Scan™ imaging machine costs a couple hundred thousand dollars, which is enough to buy, train and support a dozen or so dogs…
@margueritem, et al… We can indeed still have our friend the Pig on Wheels, with just a little bit of HTML required. I’ll be glad to share specifics if you want.Or even a new one:
The old friend is clearly the drug dog. The pooch certainly looks on the alert there. Good job on drawing the dog. I’m really enjoying DT since the change.

I think that officer Milligan has one of those rain covers on his hat. It looks like it may have been raining, notice the puddle in panel #1. That could account for it’s rather large appearance. OK, I’m grasping at straws here. NO! NOT THAT KIND OF STRAW! Gosh, you all have cocaine on the brain!

With this new way of posting comments, can we still have the “pig on Wheels”

A hero police dog! The drug sniffing dogs are in constant demand here in AZ, the corridor for drug traffic coming up from over the border.

If there’s enough of that powder floating around, it;s going to be a Pig on Wings.

I just noticed that GoComics only credits Joe Staton with the strip. What did you do Mike – Pull a Charlie Sheen???

Nice shout-out to the Crimestoppers advisor there.
How do they protect the dogs from exposure to too much of a drug? Or is that a trade secret?

Wow. It is so nice to read this strip and not get all indignant with its failings.

I love Mike Curtis’ comments. Why did the older team never give any feedback?

What was the name of the dog that used to ride on the top of Tracy’s car? Mugg? Pugg?

Can some one catch me up? I took a hiatus from goComics for awhile. Was Earl from the 12th the homicide victim in todays comic?
Also, what great art! Last time I was here Locher was still at the drawing board. This stuff is great!
