Well, Heart has the mindset of a typical 6th grader that is for sure. On a more serious note, a lot of people take teachers for granted, that is for ****ed sure, especially with the risks associated with the pandemic along with below average salaries and total disregard from many of our government officials!
What, the school district couldn’t find any substitute teachers? Then again, they’re probably all teaching at the elementary schools where the teachers are on strike as well. Either that, or they’re afraid of retaliation. I can only guess how many strike negotiations either began or ended (with "Oh, and one last thing…) with, “Anyone who taught while we were on strike is to be fired and never hired to work here again” “Uh, we promised them that we-” “Back On Strike!”
I had a course in college where the textbook for the course was not available at the bookstore or any available outlet (this was in the pre-Internet days). The teacher offered to photocopy select chapters from his own textbook; that’s how we got through the course.
