Movie romance is either funny, or ridiculous. Hollywood can’t seem to get it right.

Toby, this is a monthly ritual. It had nothing to do with you.

I laughed during The Notebook. I thought it was funny. I had it carefully explained to me that it’s not.

It’s not nice to point out that the characters in a rom-com a laughably unsuited for each other.

Just as it’s also rude to point out that the characters in action movies would be killed or seriously injured in the first fight sequence, not go on to have 27 other fight sequences.

I’m married for the 4th time, and I knew I had finally got it right when we think the same things are funny

47 years of marriage and I still do that – wifey hates it still so don’t watch romance OR comedy – in fact, quit watching any movie as they are so predictable same plots, same type characters, same stupid lines – wife didn’t believe me a couple of years back so went on youtube – watched the beginning of a few movies she has watched that I have not (or even read about) – after 10 minutes told her the outcome of the movie. was right on all but one and then the only difference was I thought a guy was gonna live so they could make a sequel about him but turns out he really did die. pretty much same with most ‘best selling’ books

You just don’t have the chick flick thing down yet.

There are so many rules us males must learn in order to coexist with the female of the species.
