This strip looks like Messycow Comics. Both developed the same style??

If that’s the mindset being used, then I suspect loving them anyway would simply trigger feelings of imposter syndrome, or something.

Personally, my own perfectionism has never about whether I’m worthy of being loved… I don’t think I’ve EVER considered myself “unworthy.” More of trying to keep myself from being attacked. =( It’s often seemed like, no matter HOW much effort I put into something so that it’ll be accepted, someone still finds a reason to hate on my efforts…

More recently, I’ve realized that all the effort in the world will not guarantee that some people will accept something. So I figure “why bother”? I’ll put in as much effort as I feel appropriate, and if they still choose not to like it, that’s their problem. I’m not gonna force myself to be something I’m not to please people who will not be pleased.
