Most of the world is closed to American tourists, and domestic getaways often involve hotspots. Our host knows what he’s doing, as he so usually does.

We cancelled our plans to spend a long weekend in Hood River, OR, where we usually go to taste wine and fruit, and come home with some of each as well as fine Columbia Salmon. Yumm. (feeling sad).

Why does one have to travel during a vacation?

Stayed home this holiday as well. Couldn’t get into the spirit of travelling this year, even though we were allowed to visit some neighbouring countries. Or even to travel around in our own country. Just went on some day trips, motorcycling, suntanning by a lake, going to a spa. Was also nice.

Looks like a lot of the people who haven’t caught on yet are thinking with the mind of an eight-year-old.

For the past five decades my wife and I have enjoyed attending live performances of theater and dance companies, in crowds ranging in size from 25 to 2500. Sitting with strangers elbow-to-elbow, close behind, close in front, hearing people talk, laugh, sneeze, cough, standing up to let late-comers get to their seats, as they brush by inches away. Standing in close-packed, long lines for restrooms during intermission. Jam-packed lobby as people leave. How good would we have to believe a vaccine to be, for us to be comfortable spending a few hours that way?

Frazz seems like the type of person who would do the right thing, so why isn’t he wearing a mask and social distancing?

I Just received notice yesterday that the 6 YO’s school will not be opening in Sept. Further notices will be going out on the “new learning plan.”

I wish those traveling to my neck of the woods would go home, and take their dam trash with them.

Most places want you to self-quarantine for 2 weeks upon arrival, so why bother going?

I would not consider it wise to try to “get away” with anything like that now.

My supervisor has advised me to use my PTO, but I don’t know what to do with it. Works helps fill my day.

Teachers and school staff should all be getting hazardous duty pay this year.

We have my SIL coming in from New Zealand next week. But we now live on Vancouver Island and can travel and accept visitors from countries that have been following doctors’ recommendations to control COVID. The USA would be able to do this if the trumpanzees had followed doctors recommendations. Get ready for the second wave when you finish the first.
