School play? Heaven help you if you don’t name every last kid involved

Reminds me of my first Christmas program at church back in the early 60s. Older brother was a Shepherd, sister was an Angel, I was a Singer…meaning I sat in the congregation. But then I was a very small person.

For want of the nail the shoe was lost. For want of the shoe the horse was lost. For want of mentioning Sally what was lost?

So Sally was the “all the rest” of the school play?

In the future, Sally will be beside herself when she receives mail “To Occupant” ….

Sally is just so desperate to be loved and praised.

Isn’t this what ‘Participation Trophies’ are all about?

It appears that Charlie Brown is now completely convinced that Sally is not important enough to get mentioned.

I hope school plays have the COVID-19 THEATRE SAFE plan!

This brings back memories. "Space does not permit mentioning everybody involved. " Kind of reminds me of my elementary school heartthrob who was credited on Gilligan’s Island during the first season as “The Rest” in the opening credits of Gilligan, and the Skipper, the Millionaire and his Wife, the Movie Star — and the Rest.

Don’t be a kill-joy Charlie Brown. If it makes Sally happy and does no harm, let her have that bit of joy.

It was not a school play, but the line in the program for me just said, “Waif: Tommy”.

Please don’t kill Sally’s positive self-esteem. She’s going to desperately need it as she gets older!

Would’ve liked to have seen Sally in the school play! Maybe there was a reason she wasn’t mentioned by name, lol

Well Sally, that’s what your participation worth, a generic mention.

Charlie Brown sarcasm, that goes completely over Sally’s blonde head.

What exactly did Sally do for the play that she doesn’t get mentioned by name?

In movies and TV programs, they’re called “credits”.

I always aim for Honorable Mention.

Best not explain it to her that that really means “There are so many folks who we decided are too unimportant to mention.”

Anyway, Broadway musicals in NYC are still shut down due to COVID-19 until 2021 begins.
