Good thing you were here Akenta. For a minute, I was thinking it was only Monday until I saw your post!

I probably wouldn’t see it Dry! I think that I am going to take my computer in today, if I can. I am going to be suffering withdrawals when I do. sigh

NO, you won’t!!

Well, my computer is in the shop. They had me wait around to find out if they could fix it while I waited. No such luck. It is $95 just to diagnose the problems. I agree with JFri’s comment…No, you won’t!

Well the neighbors tree just blew over! These are some winds we are having, and rain blowing sideways, thunder, lightening, so what am I doing on here? Shutting down for a bit.

Well, I got my computer back. the whole drive home I was betting that it wasn’t fixed, but so far so good. I have such a history of having to take things back a second time that I have grown suspicious. I thought that this would have taken several days. So, I am guardedly happy.

What was wrong with it cleo?

Well, some time back I lost the use of Safari to get on the internet, so I began using firefox as a replacement. I had loaded some free TV sights and apparently they are third party toolbar sites and they caused Safari to break. But as you know, I had taken it in for the reason that it kept shutting down after I walked away from the computer for awhile. He didn’t know why it was doing it and really didn’t test it properly, because he simply put the computer to sleep and then reawakened it immediately, which I was still able to do anyways. He ran a test on the files and all of them checked out. Anyways, so far, I have been away and come back after 45 minutes and was able to get on without having to turn off the surge protector. I hope it “magically” got fixed.

Is it just my computer or is it taking forever for comments to load?

cleo it’s taking my comments a long time to load as well.

How good is this computer guy? Been there and done some of that, you may have some more problems, so don’t let out your breath just yet.

Unless you simplified what all he did, you could have done that much yourself.

Dry is out using that BLEACH again as she is LIGHTENING something or other. If she was talking about the weather phenomenon she would have said LIGHTNING.

Well, at this point I have had dinner and been away from the computer for about an hour and this morning it was shutting down after a half hour. We will see what happens overnight, but I am a lot more optimistic than I was on the drive home.

The only negative so far is I am having issues getting online through Safari or Firefox. I just spent a good 15 to 20 minutes struggling to get online.

Still having network issues.
