He’s right. When I was a teenager my mother sent me to the store with a note to buy her a carton of ciggies, they were $3 something. Now a box of cereal is that or more depending on the size.
check online – in Australia a pack of cigarettes is $40 – $50…fifty dollars for a pack of smoke – but down under is vehemently trying to stop everyone from smoking…when i was growing up they were 25 cents a pack, but i never started…and going further back when my parents were growing up cigarettes were a nickel and children were encouraged to smoke during the depression to save them from hunger pains
