Loud concerts, loud sporting events, and 20 years blowing a whistle as a referee have destroyed by high pitched hearing. It has it’s advantages at times. What honey? I didn’t hear you!
Mine was sitting in the front row of a Bruce Springsteen concert in New Jersey without ear plugs. I had no idea those were required. Sat directly in front of a huge speaker. I completely lost my hearing for several days after, and now many years later have severe Tendinitis. It was still worth it!

The younger folks will be worse yet. When you have those earbuds in you forget how loud they are.

Never been to a concert. Jet engines did the job for me.

I saw both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones in concert years ago. Worth it! Different concerts, of course.

My wife likes the whanging electric guitars; I never have. Guess who’s hearing is better now.
