Haggling is embarrassing. It’s why I just give stuff away.

@grace No more yard sales for me – too much work. Can’t give it away either – no body seems to want it. So…….I put it in the trash.

50 cents was too high? How about I pay you to take it off my hands – better?

I had refused to sell to a couple of men who not only could afford the items but they were so condescending and rude. One man consitently demanded I sell a $1 item for 10 cents. It was a new item that I bought for $10 and I was only curious to see if it would sell. No matter how many time I explained that there was no way he was going to get a brand new digital clock for a dime, he persisted, “No no madam! Ten cents!” I calmly said no, go away. The other guy tried to tell me he was buying a glass punch bowl for $5. I declined. Then a single mom asked for it for the same price. I wanted to give it to her!
