Back when there was one or two in the house. Now we have a cordless charger in every room but the bathroom and one in the car that charges while the phone is giving directions :)
Lost count of the number we have in blue, gray, and now red. The saving grace is all have USB ports. We replaced a few outlets with the USB combos, too.

On. my desk near the computer. Hers is in her studio Not in the bedroom. Spares for both of them in a drawer in the desk in the library.

My charger is plugged in next to my chair. I have been wearing my fitbit for over a year. I love it.
