I remember a February in junior high school, standing outside, waiting for roll call in gym class, there was a kid who used to come along, sneak up behind you, and thump your ear. It felt just like that.

First time I really noticed that his ears are (were) way too low on his head.

Or a wider scarf.

Now he can legit say he can’t hear his wife.

I have a couple of those hats. They are really nice.
