The GF’s one way IMHO in that she’ll only eat egg yolks (says the whites make her gag), won’t touch certain other foods and vegs need to be skinned. Not that she has a girlish figure to watch. Whereas I’ll almost try anything like foreign restaurants and I say What doesn’t kill me makes me fatter. Which I ain’t.
Was employed in a medical clinic that served a population whose first language was not English. I got strange looks from people when I asked them “how long” they’d been sick. Finally dawned on me after a guy looked at me, shrugged, and held his hands apart a couple of inches. I then started asking “how many days?”
