Hey, kids talk honestly about the things we adults wish we could say…

He’s still at an age where he tells the truth – before he learns to lie!

BWAHAHA!! Yes, yes, he did, Michael. And, Phil, I’m sure you messed with her head just as much so you got what you had coming to you.

So Phil is drunk off his ass around a kid. Time for Ellie to show him the door.

I TOLD you that Uncle Phil was creepy.Where’s Elly, and why did she not notice Uncle Phil working his way into this state with her kids around?

According to Darwin, that which does not kill us (i.e., thins out the herd, eliminates the weak, etc.), DOES make us stronger. Usually.

Open up, John Abrams, Grammar police! Females are naive, males are naif.

Summerdog? How does Phil drinking a few beers make him creepy? If you do not think that is fairly standard practice in a lot of areas, you are being naive (or naif). Phil is playing his “blues” out with the trumpet and drinking a few beers to drown his sorrows. Nothing too abnormal.

Save the beer and the blues for someone who truly deserves it, Phil, because Connie’s definitely not it!

My reaction to this strip was “this man should NOT be around the kids, especially in this state!” I hope this incident doesn’t slip Elly’s notice…and it’s good to see Michael seeing (and speaking) the truth!

I find it hard to blame Elly for the fact that her brother got drunk. It’s hard to keep it from the kids when the guy is living there, and as I remember it, she wasn’t too hot on that idea from the beginning. Contrary to popular opinion, it is not the fault of the woman of the house for every lousy thing that happens in it.

Phil’s behavior is far from Elly’s fault…I just hope she notices the level of “down and out” he appears to be reaching!
