Had this problem the other day. But my wife had service. She’s WiFi and I’m wired. Ran trouble shooter and rebooted the router as suggested, no change. Rebooted my machine, fixed. Glitch in the ethernet card or program. I guess you just have to give it a swift reboot to get it to work
If my Dad were alive today, and I gave him a computer, he would first say, “I’ll never figure this out.” Fast forward 6 weeks, and he’d be showing me how to write code.
He once explained the theory behind solving a Rubic’s cube; I tried to act interested. He taught calculus at a community college after retiring from the military ,and loved solving problems.
Ha ha, I bought an old Lenovo Thinkpad with a “docking station”, serviced it with a gnu/Linux operating system. Then the Wi-Fi stopped working. I threw a real fit and wanted to reinstall all, then I found a tiny microscopic toggle on the side that switches on and off the Wi-Fi…. I felt ridiculous.
