I wish this was a movie. I would have liked to watch Tru squeeze between the couch and the wall so he could get in position for P3.

P1: Does anyone else think True’s mother looks like Big Bang Theory Leonard’s mother? With new psychiatry gig now that Big Bang went out with a whimper into rerun purgatory? True and Leonard half brothers? Corina Corina about to have a “breakthrough”? Now let’s talk about your multiple personalities; better put on your chest protector.

P2 Antidepressants are readily available on the street. So your mom can hide her problems from everyone as long as she doesn’t hang out at the diner!!

P3 Nobody every leaves Milford, great high school sports when GilPa is awake and there is always “Town Lake Park”, a real happin place. Milford CC has a membership drive on and there is no wait list currently.

In all reality , OK that settles it , we’re staying in Milford. Thanks for the talk True’s Mom. Hope my Mom doesn’t burn the house down again when I tell her we’re staying in Milford .

No snark here, True Standish is my favorite from through many years of reading Gil Thorp. Sorry Clambake, sorry Bubba Tidwell (but they’re still on the podium). I am rooting for True, and the Tampa Bay Rays now, too.

P1, I still get kind of depressed over having only 3 fingers on my right hand and my idiot son’s failed attempts to drive to Hawaii. But that’s what the drugs are for.

P2, Um, didn’t you show up like 6 months after the rest of the family and since I’m much too lazy to go back and look, this may be the very first time we’ve seen you at all.

P3, WTF are you talking about, Tru(e)? You spent at least 4 years at Wake Forest and then went off to play baseball in the Rays system. You were one of the lucky ones who escaped Milford but you keep coming back!

“Alright, Mom, wrap it up. CK and I are going to go up and look at my trophies, and she’s got a couple of her own. We’re not gonna go another week with this, are we Mom? Talk to Mo, she’s got the really good pills.”

P-1: I’m less depressed now that I know I’m better than your mom.

P-2: That’s what, 3 weeks ?

P-3: That’s why we’ve stayed. Tru, why don’t you show our…basement

wmac brings up a subject we discussed sometime ago. The Gil Thorp movie. Which actors would make up the cast? Could we portray the characters from a snark point of view? Que up a dark comedy that frustrates Snark Nation like this comic strip. C.J., summer’s almost over. Time to stop sun bathing at Lake Michigan and get back helping us with laughs and guffaws.

Plus they have a great supply of industrial chemicals.

It’s strange that Tru’s mother wasn’t seen when he was a senior at Milford. Tru’s father was the domineering parent who tried to roll over Gil. Now his father is MIA.
