    Ground meat must be cooked to 155 degrees to kill the E-coli. Even medium-rare burgers are just cooked to 145 degrees. Happy eating.

    This doesn’t make sense. He says his burger is done and goes to pick it up because the dog said that it’s “rare”. So good so far.

    But the other option was “medium rare”, which is more cooked than rare! In that case his burger would not be done yet?

    Yeah, I know, cartoon physics and all. I guess meat cooks in reverse here.
