Shades of Cutthroat Island. A movie filmed so badly the cannon fire explosions were all bright orange from the gasoline being used instead of gunpowder.
I hope Maguire’s costume isn’t flammable, I guess he figured blowing himself up was easier than dealing with Sedine, the Kamikaze program missed out by not having her! XD
After Bullitt (1968) and French Connection (1971) did so well in Europe and Asian Markets a lot of Hollywood took notice. It was the lack of dialogue and conversation, and just straight up car chases and wrecks that the foreign market loved. And, why not? The dialogue was foreign to them, but action sequences do not need translation. This lead to 1974’s “Gone in 60 seconds” a movie with 48 stolen cars, and one 40 minute sequence / scene where 93 cars were crashed and wrecked and scant dialogue. Of course my favorite car wreck movie was always the Blues Brothers . Then, there is this strip, bringing it all back, still amazing, Toby’s got to get out of the Aswang costume, his “hind” legs must be sore.
CBS and Gy Waldron destroyed between 250-350 1969 & 68 Chargers in 147 episodes for 7 seasons filming the Dukes of Hazzard. Shame for the destruction of a beautiful car. The CW’s the Flash keeps damaging the same yellow Hummer over and over again. That’s ok, because … come on! It’s a yellow Hummer!!!

Those poor innocent cars! Is this director trying to break Michael Bay’s record for cars destroyed in a single film? (500+)

I don’t know why Sedine is surprised, explosions like that must go on in her head all the time, it would explain all her yelling!

The studio gotten permission to blow up that street right? Because that didn’t look like set piece but a actual city road.
