This is what the Amer. Heritage Dictionary, 3rd Ed., says under Loris:
“Any of several small, slow-moving, nocturnal prosimian primates of the genera Loris and Nycticebus of tropical Asia, having dense woolly fur, large eyes, and a vestigial tail.”
Our Loris is certainly a primate (aren’t we all?), and her eyes have already been mentioned, but we’ll just have to leave the vestigial tail to the imagination. But the rest of it seems to not apply. Perhaps she’s the result of a mixed marriage.
