Sorta off topic Warning: Starbucks Is Releasing The Pumpkin Spice Latte Today Aug 25, 2020 – Marking Its Earliest Release Date Ever. And so it begins….
The way ALL my thermostats have worked is you turn the heat UP for more heat and the air DOWN for more cool! When you turn the air UP you get the chair to come with you when you get up!
We have an odd way of setting the AC temperature .. normally “up” means increasing the temperature and “down” means lowering it. All about set points vs fan speeds
Window air conditioners are calibrated 0 through 10, 10 being the coldest. Central air conditioners are hooked to a thermostat calibrated in temperature. Once you find a comfortable setting you shouldn’t have to change it. They just disagree on what’s comfortable.
I once had a service call at a commercial kitchen at the Hermit Club in Cleveland on a day when the outside air temperature was -10 degrees. The power was out to the building, and the kitchen was so cold that we had to go into the walk-in cooler to warm up. True story.

Many cultures drink hot drinks to cool off on hot summer days. It actually works!

To have the a/c on high this time of year, I’d say that The Thornapples live in Phoenix, AZ.;-D

Ya know the air conditioning is set to high when you have to stand in front of an open refrigerator to warm up.

I always tell my wife that if were this cold in the house in the winter, you’d have the heat on full blast.
