As a Northern New England native, what’s wrong with that?

My yankee wife can’t pronance anything with a ‘R’ in it. She calls a car a ‘caw’.
That first R is redundant!
Yeah, since when do some mispronounce offen. As in get offen the sofa, fooo!!!!!!!
