I just finally finished cleanup from our Cinco party! The food was great. LllG made the best black beans that I have ever had with Hempler’s ham hocks. They cooked for 10 hours. I made my shrimp dish which also was excellent and we had 2 flans, plus a Mexican salad and rice, with a very different homemade salsa and chips, margaritas, sangria, music and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. Mission Accomplished!
Talk about quiet. I made some pita bread and am working on making chickpea burgers for dinner tonight. We try to do a few vegetarian dinners each week.
Glad that you have him home. LilG’s son will be here this weekend. He is getting back from the stretch he did on the tugboat that I took him down to Oregon for, where I met JFri! He has been up and down the Oregon & California coasts and to Hawaii on this stretch.

I don’t think you can turn Meebo off. It’s annoying, isn’t it?
I went for a long walk this evening. It is lovely out and the trees are starting to show their leaves.
I also did laundry and mended and listened to Christmas carols on my iPod. That’s all I have on it, and I was too lazy to get up to put on different music. Actually, I really enjoyed it. The singer is Welsh and his voice is very good to listen to. Soothing.
Silent night Shika! I whistle Christmas songs occasionally. I love to whistle and usually just make up songs as I go along, but quite often a Christmas song will creep into the mix.

My vegan son makes chickpea burgers, cleo! They are pretty good! And they taste wonderful with salsa.
