Ten years ago isn’t what it used to be. It should still be somewhere in the 1990s.

And when someone says about 30 years ago I’m thinking 1970-1975

The Bi-Centennial was just a few years ago.

No, it’s not. 100 years ago was the Roaring Twenties. This century, the Twenties are depressing.

I’m to the place where even a couple of hundred years isn’t what it used to be.

I have friends in Japan who live in a 150 year old house. It’s been renovated over the years with a bathroom and a few other modern amenities. It is hard to believe that it is as old as it is. We almost bought a house that would be about 100 years old but instead remodelled and renovated what we have up here along the lines of a Greene & Greene Japanese inspired timber and frame construction. Much like their Blacker House in Pasadena, but with an eye to the climate up here.

Let’s see, 1923 not the same as 1823, how insightful, profound and cute…
