Is the Chinese writing on the window authentic? You gotta be careful when writing in Chinese if you don’t know what you’re writing. I spent 2 weeks in China a few years ago, and learned the meanings of about 5 characters out of a total of some 50,000 characters. You can imagine the lengths one would go to to invent a character for a new word or concept that bears no resemblance to another character.
