I went to a Lutheran school. It was sit down, shut up and study or you got the hose/rule/backhand. I think many of the teachers were there because they liked hitting kids.
During my virtual classes, I often have one or the other of my 2 cats on my lap. During one session, the cat got up and started sniffing and rubbing against the camera giving everyone a nice close up of an eye and a nose. I didn’t stop him because I thought it was funny. Can’t do that in a classroom.
