@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is so blinded with booze and his cap covering his eyes that mistaking a coat rack to buy him a pint thinking it’s Eric is worthy of the master:o) my avatar today is a cartoon of Dennis the menace getting Mr Wilson in trouble for staring at a nice looking lady neighbour, well the old coot may be old but he’s not dead :o) how was your day ? ours should be busy but calm I hope , stay safe and thanks for caring pal.

And if the previous round was Andy’s, either Eric or Chalky (if there) paid for it.

Eric seems to be a stand up type of fellow with that famous British stiff upper lip. But this, being England, I’d be careful about getting a “wooden” farthing, or is that shilling, from him?

There was a time when I might have done something like that. Long ago.

At least Foster Brooks was gently amusing. Otis Campbell. This overage yob is screamingly funny in his blithering escapades from barroom to barroom. :-D

Eric has lost weight

This infers the possibility that Andy might have actually paid for a round. On the other hand he might keep saying that he’ll get the next one.

I wonder who’s ghostwriting the strip these days? Whoever it is, I hope he keeps it up! My biggest laugh of the day, so far.

I do enjoy Andy Capp, but I can’t imagine why anyone would pay for his drinks—especially with this treatment.

I saw this one on Facebook as I follow the “Andy Capp” page, so I’m always quite smug that I see these gems before anybody else on here. Haha.

Are you sure that’s Dennis the Menace? It looks nothing like him. Dennis is dark haired with a red and black stripy T-Shirt and black shorts.

Happy “Hump Day” pal. I had no idea what that meant until a few years ago.
