When I was a kid, when one parent said “No”, we would be in HOT water if we went to the other one.
I would never pitch stuff like that to my Dad. Pitch to Mom to pitch it to Dad. If I pitched to Dad first, and he said no, there was no appeal process.
Sometimes you get crushed when you’re playing both ends against the middle …
