These little accounts of human insecurities and over-thinks… with the contradictions embedded in most of them… remind me of those old jokes about words seeming unlikely for the things they name.
Like why isn’t a driveway called a parkway and vice-versa?
And shouldn’t we refer to a water heater and not a hot water heater?
