    And they’re not even as interesting as the old ones… like when Mary Tyler Moore played “Happy Hotpoint”. :)

    Gone are the days when cable TV was sold as “yeah, you have to pay, but you don’t have to sit through commercials.”

    Going to the movies used to be advertised the same way: no commercials. So was PBS. But now? As if.

    Amen, Brother! Just watch old shows on DVD and check the timer. Today’s shows run 43 minutes to the hour when they used to run more than 50.
