Somewhere along his career, someone told Bob to pick a key note and stay on it. I don’t think it worked. But I can take him in small doses. Son Jacob is a better singer but not as famous. I would rather be a good singer than famous.

Bob Dylan’s greatest impact is as a songwriter, not as a singer; it’s his “voice” rather than his voice that’s his legacy.

Of course, sometimes I’d rather hear somebody else singing one of Dylan’s songs than hear him sing it himself, but he’s the most important “singer/songwriter” of the bunch. How many songs did Frank Sinatra write, or Bing Crosby, or Elvis Presley?

I think you had to be there to appreciate Bob Dylan, and I wasn’t there (close, though).

I liked Bob D in younger days. I went to a concert about six years ago and it was waste of time and money.

Bob Dylan, great song writer, lousy singer. Should have stuck to writing songs for people who CAN SING!!!
