Only if it’s a gourmet thumb

I believe the real answer is that babies can always find their thumbs.

She prefers organically grown.

Babies suck their thumbs or their fingers while still in the uterus so it seems fairly obvious to me that they will prefer their thumbs.

Alright I know what’s coming up so…when did everybody stop sucking their thumbs?

Consider the full length cartoon Robin Hood movie. The character Prince John (a cowardly lion) who sucks his thumb when upset for not getting his way.Remind you of anyone?

If I remember correctly, “passafires” were pretty wonderful. My problem is that I kept losing mine, to the consternation of me and my father when my mother wasn’t around

That thumb is going to give her dental problems in the future.

Doesn’t a fetus suck its thumb in the womb?

I sucked my thumb until I was about seven. I still remember the taste…not bad and calorie free!

Pacifiers are good for newborns. At 6 months old, that’s too old. I cringe when I see a three year old with a pacifier on a dirty string around their neck, so they can stick the pacifier in their mouth anytime they want.

Not only that, you can’t lose your thumb. It’s always right there.

Strange that.. girls (I think) prefer the thumb.. boys and men fantasies over the real thing.

Why else?

My son never sucked his thumb, my daughter did, that was my sign for nap or bed time, no problem for bed time. When she got older I did manage to break her.

Thumbs are handy.

I sucked my index finger while using my thumb and middle finger to pinch fuzz off my pajamas and stroke it on my upper lip.

Second son was sucking on his binkie. First son says ‘Only babies have binkies’. Second son ‘Me no baby’ and he threw it in the garbage. End of the binkies.

Never did. I had to have 5 pacifiers. One in each corner of my crib and one in my mouth. Of course, this is heresay info from my folks. May or may not be factual!

Our first child was a pacifier baby. He used to wake up at three in the morning, take his pacifier out, chuck it across the room, and then scream for it, making us wake up to go retrieve it. Not fun. Our second was a thumb baby. Never tried to push a pacifier on him because he could not throw his own thumb.

Yes they do taste better…my Mom never even tried a pacifier with me…she just let me do what was natural…suck my thumb.
