    I used to go out playing with just a 7 iron and a putter, and sometime score as well as when using all of my clubs. You can usually reach any par 4 in 3 shots, using a 7 iron. If you one putt, you make par.

    If you play from the up front tees, you can often reach the green in regulation.

    I like a 9 iron. It’s not much good for distance but you can usually hit it straight.
