Not a comment on today’s strip, but on Lio in general:
I was trying to come up with a description of Lio yesterday, and thought of this: Lio is a cross between Calvin & Hobbes and The Addams Family. Is that a reasonable, short description?
The Count, et al, owe their ilk to the famous Bela Lugosi, aka Béla Ferenc Dezső Blaskó. A Hungarian immigrant, was famous for playing Dracula in the 20’s and 30’s. I remember him is several old Dracula movies where his heavy Hungarian accent did well.
