I couldn’t find a tennis ball but we had a workout, nonetheless.
I tried it with a ball, once. Challenging and amusing. The bowling ball, however, was never the same again.
In those days a “Spaldeen” would be pretty easy to get a hold of.

Well they do seem to be getting good exercise.
