Some comics start strong, but readers find the material soon gets repetitive. Some comics head off in unintended directions once they find it hard to write for the original concept. And then you have comics that lose direction entirely and become a mish-mash of ideas that don’t really compliment one another. Just stick with Barney & Clyde in the park.
I enjoy the “secondary” characters in this strip. I don’t feel they’re secondary and I often enjoy them better than Barney, and more regularly than I enjoy Barney and Clyde’s interaction with eachother.
