Lots in the blog today. MWWS is all too prevalent. You know there are many cases not involving young white females, but they never make the news. Gotta be photogenic!
My library has earthquake protectors on the top two shelves. Hadn’t seen it before we moved into our new building, but it has already proved it worth several times.
Interestingly, the Penny Black is not especially rare, and examples can be found without much difficulty. Still, being the very first, it would be a choice addition to any serious philatelist’s collection.
We got a small library in our little town (Melbourne Beach, FL) a few years ago. There’s a (sort of) bookmobile that tours the county libraries so that when I request a book, in a day or two it gets delivered to my library from anywhere in the county (or a while longer for further away libraries). Works great. But library hours have been shortened. Only one late closing per week. Sad…but I go on dancing.
When you write your book about your FA experiences (you know you want to), I think one of the chapters should be named Indifferent Dancing Straw Men. (It will virtually write itself, don’t you think?)

Sophia Loren is looking fine, if a bit p.o.ed.

TERESA Your “Happiest People” turned my morning around. You see: It was a dark and stormy night. Suddenly a shot rang out.

Dance, dance like no ambulatory librarian is watching you.
