For a time, when I was small, I thought I was a genius because I never got my socks on the wrong feet. :)

Hold your left hand up in front of you, palm away. Extend your thumb and index fingers out. Now you have an “L” for left.

This child definitely needs to be professionally evaluated.

When I took my first driver’s license exam (Learner’s permit, age 15 1/2) the Examiner reported “Well, you don’t know right from left but you are consistent” and passed me. Eventually I noticed that I WRITE with my RIGHT hand only, and that has worked for me ever since.

At least he doesn’t have TGIF (Toes Go In First) written on the back of his shoes. At least I hope so.
